My take is that the Pope should not back step. We all know that what he said is fact. Who is bombing who in this world? Who is hi jacking planes? Who wants Isreal blown off the face of this earth? Who killed all those childer in Russia? Who wants you dead because you do not believe the way they believe? We all know that answer so do not give me it is our ( USA ) fault. History will tell that Bush was correct going into Iraq. We have a base there now as we do in Germany, Japan and other nations we had to kick their asses. Now its the Islam nuts.....

Vatican City -- With furor spreading throughout the Islamic world, Pope Benedict XVI expressed deep regret Saturday that a speech he gave at a German university last week had offended Muslims.In a statement released by his new secretary of state, Benedict reiterated his "respect and esteem for those who profess Islam," adding that he hoped they will be "helped to understand the correct meaning of his words."
