"SPRING VALLEY A 22-year-old man was arrested last night after trying to kidnap his teenage girlfriend and fleeing after one of her relatives smashed the windshield of his car, authorities said.

The Spring Valley man tried to pull the 17-year-old girl into his car by her hair about 6 p.m., but she resisted, and soon was joined by her mother, brother and a cousin, who used a metal bar to break the windshield, said sheriff's Sgt. Rose Kurupas.
The man returned to the girl's house several times during the evening, at one point using his car to make circular skid marks on the street before deputies spotted him and forced him out of his car by threatening to use a stun gun, Kurupas said.
He was arrested on suspicion of making criminal threats, attempted kidnapping and assault with a deadly weapon.
